Dino Run Survival Guide: Speed, Eggs and the Wall of Doom
Published · 1 min read
The wall is rubber-banded
The wall of doom does not move at a fixed speed. When you pull far ahead it accelerates; when it is close it eases off slightly. That means a huge lead is never as safe as it looks, and being close to the wall is survivable for longer than panic suggests. Keep a moderate lead and spend it deliberately.
Critters are speed
Every small creature you eat gives a burst of speed, and eating several in a row stacks into a longer sprint. Eggs give points and unlocks; critters give you distance from the wall. When the wall is close, ignore the eggs and eat.
The three run-enders
Ravines: jump from the edge, not before it. Boulders rolling toward you: jump early, because they are faster than they look. Meteors: watch the shadow on the ground, not the sky, and be somewhere else when it lands.
Big dinosaurs are platforms
A brachiosaurus or a triceratops in the path is not an obstacle; it is a ramp. Jump onto its back and tap Up again at the top for a high jump that clears whatever is next.
Difficulty is a choice
Easy mode is for learning the obstacles. Medium is the intended game. Hard and Insane put the wall on your tail from the first screen and are for when Medium stops ending your runs.
